This policy explains how ByteHive collects, uses, stores and protects personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

We collect personal information:

  • Directly from you when you create an account, place an order or contact us

  • Automatically when you use our website, via cookies and similar technologies

  • From third parties like payment providers and couriers, where necessary to complete your order

  • Withdraw your consent where processing is based on consent

  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if you believe we have not complied with POPIA

3.10 Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out above or as required by law, after which it will be securely deleted or anonymised.
